Live Life to the Fullest

This wasn’t exactly the idea that I had in my for my first post here, but life sometimes has other plans. Today, a co-worker and dear friend lost her husband unexpectedly. It is in these moments that we must ask ourselves what level of satisfaction do we have with our lives? Do we hold too many grudges? Do we worry too much about pleasing others and not ourselves? So we feed on the negativity of the world instead of embracing the joys life has to offer?
If the answer to any of those questions is anything other than no - stop.
I have been told this “life lesson” over and over again in my life - life is too short. I hear the message, I understand what is being said and then I totally ignore it. In times of tragedy and heartbreak, it’s so easy to remember this lesson and quickly forget again. The first time that someone makes us angry or we are being pulled in 15 different direction, we revert to our old ways.
I know because I am guilty of it too. Ten-fold. I always want to be a better person, I want to embrace life for all that it is, even when it feels like nothing, and I fail. We aren’t guaranteed is tomorrow, so why not love with all of your heart today? And live each day like it is our last.
Rest in peace, Dave. I know you were loved beyond measure.
